Freedom4 acquires WiFi provider

LONDON (WiMAX Day). The UK company Freedom4 (né Pipex Wireless) has acquired Bozoii, a WiFi roaming services provider. Freedom4 is building a WiMAX network in the UK, and plans to rollout commercial WiMAX services in the cities of Manchester, Milton Keynes and Warwick following successful trials during 2007. In a company press release, Graham Currier, Business Development Director at Freedom4, said “We view WiFi as a complimentary technology to WiMAX and partnering with Bozoii means we can significantly increase our wireless services footprint.”
