Acer plans WiMAX-enabled laptop

TAIPEI (WiMAX Day). Computer manufacturer Acer announced today that will launch WiMAX-enabled Aspire laptops later this year. According to Acer chairman JT Wang, the laptops first will be sold in America through Sprint Nextel for its Xohm WiMAX service. Wang also noted that the laptops will be powered by Intel WiMAX chips, and following the release with Xohm, the laptops will be available to all WiMAX network operators.
